Kmart shoppers are obsessing over a 'genius' $29 item, with many calling it the ultimate space-saving solution for their homes.

Professional home organiserAnita Birges used a telescopic shower caddy to add extra storage to her young daughter Talia's bedroom - without the need for screws.

The Sydney mum said her daughter was keeping her haircare products, skincare, and accessories on the stairs leading up to her loft bed, which made the area feel untidy and potentially hazardous.

'So here lies the issue,Talia's tween bedroom is pretty small and she likes to get ready in front of the mirror but all her bits and bobs are stored on her bunkbed stairs,' she explained.

The mum assembled the caddy, which features a pole long enough to fit between floor and ceiling, with an extendable height ranging from 210cm to 310cm.
